Hello,

Lisa and I walked Village Green Park this afternoon. While checking on the beaver pond on the south side of the park, we found some very large Fly Agarics (Amanita muscaria) in the creek gully. These don't have the more typical red caps but it is a common color for the species. The largest cap was at least 10 inches in diameter.

Sometime about late winter or early spring, the beavers started working on a nearly defunct dam and their progress is remarkable. The gully may be too deep to cause any flooding to nearby houses.
