Nature spectacular downtown at the Whiteside theatre chimney every evening at dusk

I’ve been catching the fall vaux’s swift migration for over a decade. 

There were more swifts in the air last night than I have ever  seen. I didn’t try to count but a night or two ago three thousand were recorded. They enter the chimney at dusk. Last night The chimney action started at 7:26 and ended about 20 minutes later. Standing on 4th street between Madison and Monroe  about mid block gives a good view. There were 6 watchers. We were Spellbound. 

Humans and nature can co-exist, and both can thrive.
