Mid Sussex Drama Liaison is an email to let local Community Theatre groups to swap ideas, information, and publicity.

It was set up as as it was hard to either find and share info about other nearby amateur shows in the Mid-Sussex area, roughly between Gatwick and Brighton. 

To join you now need a google account (although that can be using an existing email address)

To contact an admin directly there is an option at the top of the group page (if you are signed in) or you can email midsussexliaison@gmail.com 

(When I created this group 10 years ago some people didn't use Facebook, and email was the lowest common denominator. That's a luxury that most group's can no longer afford, but the email messaging has continued to run without any need for day to day oversight.)

The intention is to let any interested people share messages about publicity for Upcoming Shows, Auditions or Other News/Discussion questions.

Messages can be sent by any member and are sent on to subscribers, so there is little central administration (just enough to kick out anyone who abuses the system)
  • We encourage people (such as theatre group members) to pass information on in other newsletters or websites.
    • So please when you send information make it is in a concise and easy to pass on format.
    • A very brief summary and URL link is ideal, perhaps accompanied by a longer message, and any attachments (PDF flyer or images)
ANYONE can join the group mailing list to send and receive messages by email
    BUT YOU CAN UNSUBSCRIBE YOURSELF AT ANY TIME FROM THE LINK IN EACH MESSAGE

As well as messages being sent on to each of the other subscribing group members,
ALL CURRENT AND PAST MESSAGES ARE ALSO READABLE ON THE WEB (BY ANYONE)


HOW DO I USE IT?

Using Google Groups you can send a message to all subscribers by
  1. EITHER Logging into the Google Groups page for MSDL where you can create a message online
         This provides more features 

  2. OR Just sending an email to mid-sussex-drama@googlegroups.com
    BUT NOTE that this must be from the same email address you are subscribed with!

Now that you are a subscriber, why not email the group at mid-sussex-drama@googlegroups.com now and introduce yourself?
