CDS presents not one but two single act comedies at the Queen's Hall in Cuckfield from Tuesday October 29th.
Please help us get the word out to those interested in local theatre!
And indeed to those yet to see what great entertainment there is nearby!
These Comedies of Class comprise Fumed Oak, by Noel Coward, and The Bear by Anton Chekhov
(apparently he wrote comic plays and short stories as well as steering the Enterprise :-) )
Both have a common theme of the battle between the sexes, which irrespective of the period or the social class, remains a rich source of humour!
The legendary CDS bar (with draft Harveys) and selection of fine wines and other drinks will help make the evening complete!
Seating is our usual layout of stall at the front, and raked sweating immediately behind
Comedies of Class runs Tues 29/10 to Fri 1/11 with curtain up at 7:30pm.
In The Bear - a brutish man tries to collect a debt from a wailing widow, but more than gunplay ensues…
And in Fumed Oak - a horrible little clerk turns on his equally unpleasant family and we discover what they are all made of!
