Hello

We should be obliged if you would let your members know of the following

Play Reading - Thursday 8th August

The Players invite you to an open Play reading to be held at Ditchling Village Hall this coming Thursday (7:15pm for a 7:30pm start)..

For this reading we’ve selected ‘Our Town’ by Thornton Wilder.  The play has been described as "the greatest American play ever written" and presents the fictional American town of Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens.

Scripts will be provided on the night and refreshments will also be available

Open Audition/Workshop - Thursday 15th August

Following our previous audition/workshop, we are pleased to say that we have some people ‘on board’ this exciting adaptation.  However, we are still looking to fill roles and so are holding a further audition/workshop and inviting everyone to attend.

The main role of Scrooge is still to be filled, so  if you, or someone you know, could take on this role, we are looking for male identifying older actors who can bring the miserable humbug to life! His great wealth has turned his heart to stone. Deaf to the needs of his fellow men, he must journey through the Christmas' Past, Present and those Yet to Be to regain the spirit of charity and kindness that he once had as a young man.

If anyone would like more information about either this or other roles available, or are unable to attend the audition/workshop but would like to be considered, would you please ask them to contact us at ch...@dithlingplayers.org.uk

Please note that this is an Open Audition and there is no preconceived casting which will purely be down to the producer on the night.

Many thanks
