Audition for Ditchling Player's November Production

A Christmas Carol by Robert Tremayne after Charles Dickens

Production Dates – Wednesday 20^th to Saturday 23^rd November

For our November production the Ditchling Players are excited to be performing ‘A Christmas Carol’ but with a slight twist in that the production has been adapted by the director, Robert Tremayne, who has kindly agreed to direct the production and has a wide experience with the performing arts. 

On Monday 15^th July we are holding auditions at the Ditchling Village Hall primarily for the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge and are looking for male identifying actors who can convincingly bring this 'humbug' to life.

Ebenezer Scrooge has had a life filled with wealth, but he is not a happy man. Even at Christmas he cannot find good cheer. His great wealth has turned his heart to stone. Deaf to the needs of his fellow men, he must journey through the Christmas' Past, Present and those Yet to Be 

The actor needs to be able to bring about Scrooge's inner child at the end of the play as well as playing his miserable older self for the majority.  Although we’re looking for older actors for this role any age will be considered, if we can cast the right Scrooge!

Whilst the audition is solely for Scrooge, we will also be looking for anyone else interested in being involved and so would welcome everyone to come along to find out more and have a chat with Robert

 This is going to be an exciting production in a new adaptation, and we hope that you will want to come on board and be a part of it!

Auditions are being held at Ditchling Village Hall, Ditchling, East Sussex, BN6 8TT from 7:30 pm onwards.
