A fellow face painter got a call from a potential client looking for her to match this person's rates.

Anyone know Leticia?

She has a craigslist ad for face painting starting at $60/hr, servicing NJ & NY.

Lol, I seen ppl doing fp, glitter art tatts,, balloons for $20 an hr.
Ck out moms on a budget. Ppl popping up everywhere stating they are fpers. I called one girl ( states she is a fper). I told her abt NJ guild and offered to bring her this week. She declined and than asked what type of paint should she use.

Wow, that's crazy! Why wouldn't they want to make the going rate? I never charged that little, not even for my first gig.

It's just frustrating having to go into the "ya get what you pay for" spiel when people compare.

Why won't someone that is interested enough in the business to advertise  on fb and make business cards, but not want to be part of the growing education of the guild?
I, personally, was so h as ppy back in the year 2000 to find Mama Clown and go to the convention. The world was my oyster over bubbling with creative knowledge within reach.

Yes, I agree, nothing beats the excitement and camaraderie of a convention!
