Good news: there's no separate sign-up needed. Google Sites works with a regular Google account (Gmail). Here's how to get started:
1. If you don't have a Google account
- Go to accounts.google.com/signup
- Fill in: first name, last name, desired Gmail address, password
- Verify with a phone number
2. If you already have a Google account
- Go directly to sites.google.com
- Sign in with your usual Google credentials
3. Create your site
- Once logged in on sites.google.com, click the + (Create) button or "Blank site"
- Give your site a name (top left)
- Start adding text, images, and sections using the panel on the right
4. Publish
- Click Publish in the top right
- Choose your web address (e.g. sites.google.com/view/your-site-name)
- Your site is live!
