Team KoNaR have launched from the Canary Islands in the unmanned category.

Info on their boat can be found here : https://www.microtransat.org/content.php?p=2025_wroclaw_boat

Their track will also be made visible shortly.

Best of luck team KoNaR!

PassAt’s tracking is now visible (with 24 hour delay) on the Microtransat’s website here: https://www.microtransat.org/tracking/index.php

They are making progress towards the start line following a slow start, with little wind leaving Las Palmas.

Amazing endeavour!

Alastair, do you have a tech blog or any web with the boat documentation?

Fair winds and following seas! :)

Unfortunately Passat stopped transmitting its position on 18th Dec. It was making good progress towards the start line.

Thanks Alastair - looks like two possabilities:
1) only the tracking has failed, and PassAt is still on correct course
2) anything from total systems failure to boat sinking

Maybe, if you put out the word to the right guys ( mostly military ? )
Someone may get some cudos by providing a photo and location.

A French Air Force recce aircraft did it many years ago for the French boat.
Obviously examples for Snoopy including sailors passing,
and for Royal Marines - but that extended to physical pranks & favours ;-)

I am very familiar with the friendly rivalry between military - despite their Governments ;-)

Those predictions of prevailing winds might give a clue as to the "best guess" on location, if still floating.

Good Luck ! Take Care - and don't get caught ;-)
BTW Seasons Greetings ! http://www.gpss.co.uk/xmas25.htm :-)
