Hi Guys, for the few interested, and maybe able to help us, the link and description below is the latest "Late September 2024" video on my main youtube channel. However, if you are able, it might be more efficient on your time if you scroll down to near the end of Snoopy's "Blog11" on http://www.gpss.co.uk/rbblog11.htm where it stresses the importance of knowing how to use the Youtube time bar, to peruse content, and find the bit you want.

I know some of you don't wait for me to post messages like this, but occasionally visit the top of a page, such as "Blog11! above, to see if I have updated it since they last looked at it. As I've said before, anyone can see that "who has visited" section, and guess who last visited. e.g. if "Redhill" that's probably me in our lounge :-)

No surprise that even I was danger of drifting off to sleep playing all that video, to test the automatic captions/subtitles. There is the occasional amusing mistake by the "AI" speech recognition :-)

https://www.youtube.com/embed/Q1p4sHbNUeI?si=La9qskNq_9vOFQUZ is a 1.5 hour video with the trails of photos shot between Saturday 21st until Thursday 26th September 2024. The video starts with Robin's usual amusing introduction, shot on Thursday 26th and Sunday 14th September, walking down their front drive at 22 Armitage Court in Sunninghill. Robin shows you Snoopy's Robot Boat in the front garden, on 24/7 Static Test, researching a power problem. Now solved ? hopefully the boat will soon be ready for a Bray Lake Test, before a 2024 Atlantic Attempt. Photo trails show how, with the right help, they might get the house, back to what is was several decades ago.  This, and earlier videos, have important detail for potential helpers in "property maintenance" ;-) They need plenty of experience and "common sense" ;-) After the photo trails, Robin wraps up with video shot in July 2023: prophetic words of James Lovelock about Global Warming, and Robin's suggestions about the DVLA. He still has not received his driving licence. Most guys would be annoyed, but Robin is often amused by incompetence - so long as it does not result in suffering, pain, or death. It has been very "inconvenient", with more load put on June, coping brilliantly with her health problems. She has still not seen her Magnolia House Doctor. Yes, as can be expected, from Robin's career, then hobby interests, there are plenty of examples of people, GPS Tracking, and technology being exploited. e.g. wildlife and people caught on CCTV; briefings on TSR2, 60 years after it's first flight. Pub Lunches ;-) The automatic subtitles/captions should soon be available, with translation into any language. Well Done Youtube Guys, whoever and wherever you are ! ;-) Footnote: Youtube used to give a choice of three images, for the "title picture" - and now just one. You must do it yourself - and not an image bigger than 2 MB ! Not difficult with old Paint. Google and Youtube things change - fewer people to employ and pay ? Bring back people, simply aided by A.I.  ! :-)

That's it guys :-)
Take Care

Hi Guys, I've just done the 2100 BST Saturday update to Snoopy's "Blog11" on http://www.gpss.co.uk/rbblog11.htm and, in short, nobody has seen the updates
since my last posting below. No Problem, but if you read today's updates, you will
read that even that is useful information. Maybe some of you have good solutions
for the required "GPS Logger" rather than just putting that function into the autopilot ?
If so, probably best to start a new "GPS Logger" thread. Meanwhile, I'll "soldier on".
As it happens, I'm about to walk down to the Sunninghill Comrades Club,
for a natter, drink, and maybe a bit of mischief on the pool table:
a wobbly white cue ball, easily swapped for the proper one.
When I owned up, halfway through a game, the young man said
he'd seen a radio controlled one. Probably military technology ? :-)
Thanks those who keep this Microtransat Google Group alive :-)

Hi Guys. I've just updated the end of Snoopy's "Blog11" on http://www.gpss.co.uk/rbblog11.htm
with what some may find of educational value - from my schooldays of arithmetic & electronics :-)
e.g. how the bright idea of adding a 10 ohm resistor might increase the robot boat's power system.

Also I'd be interested in how you remember resistor colour codes in other countries ;-)
We learnt as "Bye Bye Rosie Off You Go By Manchesters Great Western" BBROYGBMGW.
See the picture of a 10 ohm resistor near today's update in the Blog11 above :-)

You may all be curious on what is public near the end, on who has visited, or hidden their visit.
My experience is that very few guys, deliberately or otherwise, hide or disguise their visits.
The main advantage is that I can see if anyone, and perhaps who, has looked since the last update.
It reduces the need to send out emails or postings such as this.

The next "nitty gritty" photo trail, won't be published for a few days.
Maybe "End of September 2024" , by early next Wednesday 2nd October.
BUT for Snoopy Robot Boat things, "Blog11" above is far more concise.

- assuming you can quickly scroll down the page to near the end :-)
Take Care
Robin
