I have a PC that continues to get messages at startup as well as
issues with Internet Explorer pop-ups that take you to www.Saliar.com.
Basically is says your computer is infected download this tool to fix
it. Some thug trying to sell software. I've been unable to remove
this from the computer. I cannot tell what is causing it. Symantec
is of no help (as usual). I've seen some other posts with people
having the same symptoms but no solution. The error messages at start
up are...
(Note, this is exactly how the message displays. Not a mistype by me
which is a dead giveaway that it is bogus)
"Important - Errors found in the system
During the scan of files which are start automatically at computer
startup, a critical error in system registry were found.
0x01ff0010irql: 1f SYSVER 0xbf0414
NT_Kernel error 1276 (exception not handled)"
"Your system is unstable.
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shutdown buggy
application to prevent damage to your computer.
Kernel3254.sys - address C83B20AE base at C132f0, DS 76a046f3
Kernel Debugger using Port: com1 (port 0x38f, baud rate 9200)"
Has anyone had these issues and successfully resolved them?
Thanks.
