Hello All,

Ok, I have a friend who wants to update her computer - She is on a phone
line. So we went to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and it estimated 6
hours of download - too long. Is there a place where I can download all the
criticals for WinME and then burn 'em and install them that way?

I have gone to http://corporate.windowsupdate.microsoft.com in the past to
do this for other friends - but only works for 95, 98, IE

FYI - I also use http://office.microsoft.com/Downloads/default.aspx for the
office patches

TIA

Rob M
PS
Sorry for the cross post

To set Windows Update for downloading the updates for later installation
instead of installing now:
Go to Windows Update
Click on Personalize Windows Update (left column)
Click "Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also
Click Save Settings button.

When you're ready to download:
Go to Windows Update
Click Windows Update Catalog (left column)
Click on Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems (or, Find
driver updates for hardware devices)
Select your OS & click the Search button
Select what you want; Critical or Recommended
Select the downloads you want and go to the download basket.
