From the reviews it seems that the only new feature in 2003 is the
Live-ability and that the graphics and sound are pretty much the same as
2002.

It's so confusing deciding an NFL game - I am undecided between 2K2, Fever
and Madden.

Negative. Madden 2003 for Xbox does not have any online play. If you want
to play online, you have to go with NFL 2k3 or Fever 2003. Personally, I
prefer NFL 2k3, but Fever has some things I like, too.

Madden does not have live ability. I recommend Sega 2K3 or Fever if you
want live play.

OK. But what's a better game for one-on-one play? I've heard that Madden is
simulation-based and hence more realistic and that Fever is more the arcade
variety and that 2K2 is somewhere in between. Sounds like the best of both
worlds?

Well, more or less, yeah. And we're talking about 2K3, not 2K2. If you get
2K2, you'll be very disappointed. :)

Aaahh. I am talking about 2002 games (they are, after all, 20-30 bucks
cheaper) what would you recommend assuming I don't need XBL compatibility -
Madden or Fever?

Well, in THAT case, Fever all the way (I bought that one). But I'm not sure
you can find Fever 2002 anymore. Fever 2003 is $30 in most retail stores,
however.

NFL 2K3 is $30 at EB and buy.com also....

Thanks for that. On a completely different subject, what fighting games do
you recommend? That is, if you're into fighting games.

I got my Xbox about a week and rented DoA3. I liked it but I preferred both
VF and Tekken, both of which aren't available on the Xbox. And I saw that
the reviews for MKDA weren't exactly glowing either. So is Dead or Alive the
best on 'box?

I had Fever 2002 I liked the stat aspects and season mode. I can sell you
my copy if you really want it. But if you can find Fever 2003 for $30 I
might go with that to get online play if you have live.

This is confusing. Ok so both Fever 2003 and 2K3 are 30 bucks and they both
have online play and they are both arcade-ish and not as realistic as
Madden. So.... ($1,000,000 question coming)... which one is better? :)

I read the contrary about MKDA on gamespot and ign. It got 8.6 on IGN and
8.1 on gamespot.

NFL 2K3 is *not* "arcadish" at all, imo. I think Fever is.

Clear as mud? ;-)

After playing DOA3, I have a hard time playing other fighting games. I'm
not really a fighting game aficionado, but the booby-physics in DOA3 got me
hooked. :)

NFL 2K3.

That'll be $1,000,000, please. :)

Yes, I must admit. The Hollywood aspirant is...um...enticing?
