Heh thanks for the cryptic message Mister Microsoft guy :)
Actually, its good to play together because some of us have friends that
are across the US due to a job or in college and we cannot get them in
person to play a 2-4 player game. The voice chat with Xbox Live allows
us to talk to them as if they were sitting next to us and the virtually
lag free connection of broadband internet makes it seamless. Of course,
its a great place to meet new friends in a casual setting who share the
same interest in genres.
I say this because an old friend of mine lives across the US and we have
been keeping in touch on the internet via email and instant messaging.
When he returns to school this fall though, he will be a new Xbox Live
subscriber and we are both looking forward to compete against each other
in games like Project Gotham 2 and playing co-op in Doom 3 and possibly
Halo 2 (crosses fingers). The voice chat option in the Xbox Dashboard
will also allow us to have a cheap and clear voice chat session without
the hassles of long distance phone bills.
The strong community is what keeps the Xbox scene growing. Here are some

I have been a XBL subscriber since it came out in November of 2002 and
been please since :)

"Growing older is mandatory.
Growing up is optional."
The point of my reply is that we have lots of marketing material that
answers the question of "why is good to play together".
This in itself is a take of our own public marketing message.
So just directly the person to the Xbox Web site was an appropriate answer;
since once there he can select the most appropriate language site for him
(since he is obviously not a native English speaker - looking at his other
posts).
He can then find the answer to his question himself on that site.
