Do I need a Microsoft Office suite on my Windows 10 to perform an Office task?

I have just got a Office 2019 Pro Key（https://www.bzfuture.com/kaspersky-internet-security-1-pc-1-year-global-key-office-2016-pro-plus.html ）and have already installed Office on my Windows. It seems that everything runs well. But I am afraid if I need to Microsoft Office suite to add a large number of PDF features compatible with the most commonly used Microsoft Office file formats.
