I was wondering if anyone else felt this way. I love my X-
box and have had no problems with it *knock on wood*

Here is the scenerio:

I am a "die hard" PS2 fan.

I want to give the X-box a bad name:
(I here of a few issues on some of the consoles)

I come into a X-box forum and start stating that your X-
Box is glitching and acting up, controllers do not work,
system will not work, etc....

What better way to scare people out of getting one then by
using Microsoft propaganda.

I know some have issues but we all know that happens with
every console. Look at the issues Sony has had with their
little tiny retarded memory cards. They have had that
issue since it came out!

Just thought I would see if anyone felt the same way I do!

I agree, at least half if not more of these posts winging about how xbox and
ms have let them down are from insecure PS2 fanboys trying to put people of
xbox as they can't afford one themselves.

go spend 199. to buy a whole new one, even though I pd
350. buck for 6 months ago, mean while i have had a
playstation for 5 yrs. and it has always worked well.
It froze up alot before it just quit working while in the
middle of Max Payne, It is in a well ventilated area so it
has not been mishandled in any way that i am aware of.
Just stick with playstation2

It's not just you. I'm in the UK and have had my xbox since launch day...
not a single problem and many hours of gaming fun. I've owned a few
different consoles over the years and this one has given me the most
enjoyment by far.

It's funny how "other" console owners use to try and bag the xbox on it's
merrits i.e. my "insert other console name here" is more powerful. Now that
even the most diehard fans of other consoles realise xbox is technically
more powerful than any other console on the market they're trying to drag it
down with this crap about reliability problems....

Enjoy your games on any console.

1. The price for an xbox 6 months ago was $299, not $350.
2. The fee is $129, not $132
3. What does having a PS1 for 5 years have to do with sticking with a PS2?
This is probably the biggest mistake you made, otherwise I would have
thought you were just ignorant of your monetary facts.

Methinks me smells a troll. Or a dumb corporate basher.

Given the construction material of the xbox controllers, a "sticky, squeaky"
Dpad problem would have to involve some form of a foreign substance. Do you
eat a lot while playing?

Playstation is made by sony who also makes playstation 2
thats what that has to do with it I can vouch for their
product but windows is about the only thing i can vouch
for microsoft. I have spoken to microsoft quite a few
times i think i would realize if they really gave a shit
about their customers.

You really paid $350 for the xbox? No, Give me a break.

You talk about the PS1, but NOTHING about the durability of the PS2. Yet
you tell people to "stick with their PS2". This is ludicrous. You do
realize that they are different products, made in different places, with
different components. Otherwise I could stupidly say,"I've used Microsoft
mice and keyboards for years. Stick with the Xbox". The statement has no
bearing on the product, just the reputation of the company.

I hate it if you had trouble, but what you are saying does not make sense.
And bashing the XBox while pushing people to the PS2 in the process has
happened far too many times in this newsgroup for people to see you other
than a troll.

If you did have trouble talk about it - you'll find people willing to help.
But there is not reason whatsoever to push the other consoles in an XBOX
newsgroup unless you want to be treated like a troll. That, my friend, is
just common sense.

I've used MicroSoft Notepad for years and it never froze up or overheated.

Since you insist that you paid $350 instead of $299, is it possible that you
were charged for some kind of warranty at the point of purchase? Why don't
you dig out the receipt and verify? It doesn't sound farfetched at all that
you could have a warranty and not know it.

Listen, ReAper, yes I have been a bit snide lately
here. Please excuse that reply I made.

I still stand by my comment that you are only inviting
the very same tedious conversations you were
complaining about. Just look at the rest of the thread.
If you go spoiling for trouble, you'll find it in open
NG's.
