Hi there. I have and Xbox 360 Arcade Version, i think its Jasper version,
because it comes whit the HDMI port and 256MB internal storage capacity
(recently updated from LIVE). So the primary reason because i've buy this
console instead of the PS3, it the capability to play MPEG4 videos in HD
(720p or 1080p) in my Hitachi 42 plasma, from a USB, DVD or PC Home network.
So, first i've tried to connect directly to my XP home pc, whit crossover
cable (Ethernet), i have succes to get connection to LIVE, using the PC as a
router whit Internet shared connection, but when it comes to share my media
from PC to XBOX, got a lot of problems whit any sort of programs (NERO, WMP,
TVERSITY). My other option its burn the files in DVD-R DL (some files ar
larger than 5 GB), but its more expensive. My last option was buy an WD 320GB
USB HDD, which allows me to connect directly to the console, and play movies
whit in. The problem its, XBOX only read FAT32, which comes whit the 4GB file
size limit, given me the only option to divide the files in equally pieces
(not the best idea for a movie fan). Recently ive read this article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/955704
Ive format my HDD and copy the files, success. But XBOX doesnt recognize the
drive WTF!
Any clues when its going to do?

Xbox only supports FAT32&HFS+. Use MacDrive to format HFS+.

Thanks Jim for your answer. One more question, what OS did natively support
HFS+ format, or do i need to install the software in every machine i want to
plug in?

Its an Apple format so unless your a Mac guy your going to have to install
software. It has something to do with iPod support if your wondering why.

ExFAT is completed but only 7,Vista and XP with a patch support it ATM.
Seeing as Xbox doesn't support NTFS I wouldn't get my hopes up on exFAT.
