Help: Halo PS2 Resolution

I've been trying to silence my friend on the fact that
Halo will not come out for Playstation 2. He thinks it
will, and I'm aalmost positive it won't. If anyone has
anything that can help me shut up my friend, please get it
to me. The xbox is way better than the PS2 and he needs to
get that into his head.

You are correct. Bungie is a Microsoft subsidiary now, so why would they
release on a competitors format? Have your friend note that right on the
box is the statement, "Only for the XBOX!". That statement refers to
consoles only, Halo will reportedly be released for the PC one of these
days...

I have no definite proof, but I do believe the game is way
to BIG for the PS2. The XBOX is the only console powerful
enough to run it. Can you imagine playing online on the
PS2 and trying to cope with all of the lag? Yeah, well
that's the only place you will find Halo on the PS2: in
your imagination. Tell your buddy to get an XBOX or get
used to playing crappy games! I traded my PS2 for an
XBOX. It was the smartest thing I have ever done.
Besides marry my wife, of course!

ps2 uses some completely different graphics technology
besides that of xbox only games. halo uses what is called
direct x i think its 8.1 ps2 is way to old for it xbox
uses a modified geforce 3 gpu and thats what renders those
kick ass graphics ps2 cannot even play halo and even if it
could, it be at some rediculous framerate like .5 fps. ur
friend must be on drugs since there is no way something
like ps2 could even handle a game like halo>.
