Has somebody XAL with Windows 7 running ?
Any problems or does it work well ?

Best regards
Guido
That depends on what kernel version of XAL you are running.
In general running on 32-bit should be OK.

Does it mean:
- I can run Windows 7 (32 bit) with a the old Xal 3.5 Kernel (Native)
or
- Windwos 7 (64bit) with the 3.8 Kernel (Native)
or
- do you suggest to use only Windows 7 (32 bit)
Thanks a lot
Guido
I you look in the Microsoft® XAL™ statement of database compatibility
you can see that XAL 3.8.1.351 was the last released XAL kernel, and this
kernel was tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows Server
2008.
For running against Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 the XAL 3.8.1.351
kernel should be the best candidate, but you must have an active maintenance
subscription to use it legally.
If you do not have an active maintenance subscription and you run e.g. XAL
3.55.1 kernel, I would suggest that you run on 32-bit Windows 7 and Windows
Server 2008 R2.
I have to stress that these combinations have not been tested, so you should
test throughly before going into production.

Henrik,
I'm assuming you mean that they would have had an active maintenance
subscription back in 2009 when it was released?
There's no requirement to maintain the maintenance subscription to
continue using the kernel past the release date.
