Hi, all!
I'm system admin in XAL 2.66/Oracle and I'm looking for a tool useful
for user activity tracking.

I need:
- forms entered
- reports activated
- tables queried
- resource consumption (optionally)
for selected user or group of users together with his/their names and
datetime of every event.

I DON'T need to:
- track every keystroke
- track any information entered or changed
- generate significant load for the system.

I don't think that such tool is already in the system; if it would be
I'd found it probably during 10 years of using the system. Some tables
do provide information who created/accepted record but that's not what I
need. I need suggestion how could I build such a tracking tool or what
software should I buy if such a tool is on the market. Could anybody
help me?

Hi JasiekS

In XAL 3.5 (if I'm remembering it correctly) kernel support for loging tabel
access was introduced as 4 new SXL-triggers.
A new loging framework was also introduced in the application to handle
setup, loging and searching in the log entries.
You might be able to backport some of the process loging (can't really
recall if there was introduced som kernel logic to make that work), but you
will probably need the new SXL-triggers to be able to log table access in an
easy way.

Btw: The loging table itself should be excludede from database calculation
in the new kernels (so it won't fill up your database :-) ).
