Query on Microsoft Business Solutions XAL

Hello Team,

I am working on a migration project.

Old Configuration: XAL application installed on Windows 2003 server,
application accessed through Citrix environment. File name:
XAL35\oxalw32.exe

New Configuration: Windows 2008 server, XAL35 folder from Old server
copied to new server. Changed the batch files and started the
application.

Considering this product is kind of Microsoft has stopped supporting
this application, still raising below queries:

Queries:
a. Will the "oxalw32.exe" work on Windows 2008 server? Currently
working but with limited functionality, Some of the functionality
giving message as "An attempt was made to start a tool which is not
part of the current Windows version".
b. If NO, do we need to upgrade the application or run any
patch?
