Default saving to WKS format in MS Works 9.0

Hello.
Is there any way in MS Works 9.0 to save spreadsheet in WKS format
(4.0/2000) by default, nor in XLR?

We have mostly MS Works 2000 installed. Hovewer I had to change to MS Works
9.0 on some PCs because of a problem with printing to new models of HP
printers (Deskjets even Laserjets)

So, users of MS Works 9 have to select appropriate format 4.0/2000. But,
what is much more stupid - it is not able to store older files just modified
to that old format by "Save", but it is necessary to use "Save as", change to
4.0/2000, find file I have just open once more in directory structure, select
it name and confirm replacing. :-(

Any solution - by "standard" setting way, patch, modifying registry etc.?
