Word highlighting colors

Is there a way to change the colors made available for text highlighting
in Word?

Is there a way to add colors made available for text highlighting?

I find the available choices too bright. What I'd like is a range of
colors with 'light pink' and 'very light pink' (for example). Even
better would be a way to vary the transparency of the highlighting color.

I found how to do what I wanted. Among the available commands is a
Shading Color one. It does what I need, although not quite as easily as
the Highlighting one.
