One of my clients is getting a sporadic error message when trying to
close a document created with a template that uses some simple VBA code:

"This document cannot be closed because it is referenced by an open VBA
project. You should close the project that references this document
before closing this document."

Any ideas?

TIA.

Have you got the latest update of your virus checker? Sounds like a macro
virus to me.

Causes:
1: Virus.
2: There's actually an open VBA project.
3: There _was_ an open VBA project but it crashed.
Which left the 'reference' active.

Possible solutions:
1: Get a virus checker.
2:
- Reboot. Do NOT open word yet.
- Remove junk files from the 'temp' directory.
- Remove junk files from the (working) directories.
Especially the hidden ~$*.* files

Also make sure that the VBA project unloads all forms. If it's leaving forms
in memory, the document will still be "in use" by the program.
