Hi again,

I would like to add a hypelink or button of some kind to my form
document template, that when clicked opens a document on the network.
However I need the document name to be derived from a form field. The
field is simply a six figure number (123456 for example) and there is a
corresponding file (123456.doc) that I want to open when the
hypelink\button is clicked. Obviously the six figure number will change
on each different form which is why I need to reference the field to get
the corresponding file name.

Any ideas?

Carl.

Hi Carl,

Have you tried using a REF field to the bookmark of the form field that
holds your number? If you are using this in the part of a document that is
protected for forms, you will need to use a macrobutton rather than a
hyperlink.

Hope this helps,
