Are you inserting the table using Table | Insert Table (or the toolbar
button) or are you inserting or pasting it from another file? When you
insert a table, it is normally created at full margin width, but if you move
a table from a portrait document to a landscape one (or change the page
orientation after inserting the table), the table does not expand unless you
explicitly choose to do so. One way to do this is to set the width to 100%
on the Table tab of Table Properties.

But if you are inserting a brand-new table on a landscape page and it is not
created at margin width, then the problem is elsewhere. For a start, go to
Format | Columns and click on the picture for One (even if one column is
already selected). Also, check the margins in Page Setup; this may be a
manifestation of a bug in HP printer drivers.
