German spelling

I have OfficeXP English version. I would like to do German spell check.
I have copied the 2 German files (MSGR3GE.DLL and MSGRGE32.DLL) into:
program files\common files\microsoft shared\proof.
Does anyone know what needs to be modified (in the registry?) for office to
see the 2 files?
Can it be done manually?

These files are not spelling files but a subset of the grammar files.

If you want German spelling files you can get a download (intermittently
available) from the Microsoft German website, or purchase the Office XP
Proofing Tools.
