I am doing an Internet Course and would like some information about NNTP
servers which I obviously had to do to register with the Newsgroup.
In layman's terms, could someone explain to me the difference between NNTP
servers and ordinary servers.

Hi Desley,
This newsgroup isn't for that sort of networking. I would suggest that you
search Google for NNTP Servers and take a look at some of the 312,000
articles which that search will return.
Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
