Only half the letter shows up, how to get back to normal type?

When I try and type into a Word document only half the letter shows up. The
top of the letters are cut off. How can I get back to normal view?

Make sure the line spacing is set to single.

Try Seting your line spacing to "Single"

You probably need to modify your line spacing to "Single". You'll find this
is the Paragaph dialog box (from Home in Word 2007 or from Format > Paragraph
in earlier versions of Word).
