I am trying to print to a 3x5 index card to use as a
speech cue card. I am using Office XP. Is this possible
to do from Word?

Depends on your printer. Some printers will handle paper this size; others
won't. You'll need to check the printer manual for its paper handling specs;
if it can handle that size, you may find it among the selections on the
Paper tab of Page Setup; if not, you'll need to set it up as a custom size.

If the printer won't print to paper that small, you can use the workaround I
used to use on my LaserJet 4: Set up a 5x8 index card as a custom paper
size, then print on both ends and cut it in the middle (you'll have a 2" x
5" piece left over in the middle).
