I'm creating a footer and on the right hand side of the
footer the text begins to disappear, even as I type it in.

I've tried deleting the entire thing and starting again,
but to no avail.

Can someone please help? I'm using Word 2002(10.2627.2625)

Hi Judy,

Might be a document corruption?

My first guess was a negative right indent, but you'd still see the text,
even if it exceeds the right margin.

Does it happen in a newly created document, too? Or only in one document?

Regards,
Klaus

I'll never know what the cause was, Klaus. I appreciate
your trying to help me. I finally completely re-created
the document and was able to make it work.

I have the feeling that possibly some sort of graphic box,
without any picture or border was in place and the text
was disappearing behind it. I could not find the errant
graphic box, but I did have 2 graphics in the footer.

I only wish I could figure out how to use MSWord. I find
it a most frustrating program for someone who learned on
WordPerfect. At least in that program, I can see every
code in the document and easily find and remove errant
ones. <sigh>

Methinks this learning process is going to be a very long
one.

Thanks again.
