I am trying to do a page that has a border that consists of angels. Is
there a place where I can get additional border styles? Or is this the
type of thing that I should be using a template for? If the latter,
anyone know where I can get a good angel template?

Thanks,

Kevin

I found the Format/Borders and Shading/Page Border screen. I selected "Custom" but I
don't see anything that says I can import files. I clicked on the "Art" pulldown
menu and it has a lot of art work already there but I didn't see any import option.
I went to the "Borders" folder in the MS Office code directory and there are a bunch
of files there with a .brd extension. Not sure how I can convert .jpg into .brd..
Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Kevin

I also would love to know where Tim was finding these options.

Hi Kevin,

Publisher 2000 (not sure about earlier versions) has the ability
to create new .BDR files, but Word, even 2002, doesn't have the ability to
add these to the collection. A typical BRD file has 3 or more of the 70 designs
available in them. Sometimes what you can do, but not always, is to create a BDR in publisher then rename it to replace one of the
existing Word files.

It's not clear why MS has hardcoded, it seems, the files for Art borders
into the programs.

As another workaround is to setup a same size page in Publisher if it's
available, create a new Border and then use the clipboard to copy it to Word,
use View=>Header=>Footer and paste it, resize it then use the Drawing Toolbar
order setting to 'send to back'.

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately the [Horizontal Line] button isn't available in Word 97 :(
It was added in Word 2000 to provide Horizontal Rules (HR) to
the web page capababilities.

Using it in Word 2000 and importing a 'regular' graphic didn't create
a repeating border, just the one copy (rats).

One old method that still works <g> is to use the angel or other Dingbat font
character from places such as
http://www.dingbatpages.com/beings/beings02.html and adding the
font through the font applet in the windows control panel and then
the step in this procedure, substituting an ange character for a heart
