I have a Word document that starts with portrait, changes
to landscape and ends with portrait orientation.

It includes headers and footers.

A blank page shows up before the orientation change and I
can't delete it.

Often Word will change your "Next page" break to an "Odd page" break to
accommodate the printer. Go to the Layout tab of Page Setup and change the
section start back to "New page."

I'm experiencing essentially the same problem. So is sven over on
microsoft.public.word.numbering. I tried your solution Suzanne, actually
that was what I had already tried on my own, but to no avail. Word insists
on leaving the section break at odd page instead of next page.

My document layout is as follows: Section break is on portrait page 21.
Next 2 pages are landscape, but they start at 23, grrrr. Invisible page 22
shows only in print preview (not in the Page Layout view I'm usually in) as
a landscape blank page, but I can't get rid of it.

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm,

I think I found the problem although it's not obvious why. The issue seemed
to be with the section break on the 2nd landscape page. When I refreshed it
and set to next page the page numbers refreshed and were then correct.

Not sure I understand why but am happy the problem is apparently solved.

Thanks again for reading.

Steve C.
