Margins less than 0.5?

I can't seem to get left and right margins to be less than 0.5 inches. Every
time I do it tells me to fix the margins or ignore the margins. I am trying
to maximize space and this is annoying!

Well, you can ignore it if you like, but Word is getting its information
from your printer driver, which is telling it that the unprintable area left
and right is half an inch. It's possible your printer can print closer to
the edge than that (though possibly not using the current driver). If a test
shows that you can print outside the allowed margins, then you'll have to
just keep ignoring Word's error messages.
