Where To Change Template Folder In Office 2007?

Hi,

I know this is the wrong forum but I don't seem to be able to find the
correct one for my question:

In Word 2000 I could redirect the Templates folder to some folder of my
choice. In Word 2007 I don't seem to be able to find a corresponding option
anymore.

Can someone please enlighten me on where to set the Personal Templates
folder for my personal Word .dot template files? ...or just point me to the
correct forum where to post my question?

In Word 2007, you will find the File Locations dialog box as follows: Select
Office button > Word Options > Advanced tab – near the bottom you will find
the “File Locations” button. That button opens the dialog box known form
earlier versions.

Yes, I've found that one. But in contrast to earlier versions of Word it
doesn't seem to be possible there to change the Templates folder location.

Can someone please enlighten me on where to change this setting?

Or do I nowadays need to edit the Registry for this?

Use the Modify button on the dialog box that opens when you click on the
File Locations button. It works exactly the same way as it did in earlier
versions of Word.

Sorry for replying so late... Somehow I sometimes don't get notification
e-mails for these newsgroups..

There is no modification option to update the Templates folder in Word 2007
as far as I can see.

I've uploaded a screenshot of the "Save" options screen here:

(It's in German, I'm afraid..)

Can you point me to where this option resides in that screen? Apparently I
must be blind. I don't see any option to update the Templates folder there.

You cannot rely on being nofified that you question has been answered. That
system us Kaput.

The option to modify the location of the templates folder is under Erweitert
(Advanced in the English version). Click on that and scroll down to the
bottom of the dialog to the General section
(durchgängig/allgemein/generell/ganz/global/Universal/allseitig/üblich/ungefähr
- I do not speak German and that is what Google Translator offers) and then
click on the File Locations (Dateiablage) button.
