I have an Excel file with 16 sheets that I would love to
be able to open in a Word format. I can open it, but when
I do, it is a table format with ALL of the columns across!

Can I get rid of the table formatting and convert it into
text?

Or can I just have it import the used columns?

Help!

Hi Marybeth,

If you assign a RANGE NAME to the columns you want to import,
you can specify that via the RANGE button in Word's
Insert/File dialog box (it sounds like that's the interface
you're using).

If you want the table as delimited text, you can select it,
then use Table/Convert Table to Text
