Page X of Y problems

function into my footer, it reads "Page 1 of 1", "Page 2
of 1", "Page 3 of 1". I have tried to correct it by
manually inserting the function PAGE# then the words "Page
of" and then inserting function OF PAGE# but, it still
doesn't work. What is going on?

This problem should be solved in Word 97 by applying SR2 and the subsequent
patches (it was finally fixed in the so-called leap year patch, but I think
that has been bundled into a later patch since.)

There is a bug in Word that is different in different versions (including
different SRs).

number. When you are in the footer just hit F11 to take
you to the field and F9 to update. See how you go.
