Does anyone know how to do a line count in Word? I need
to count lines from beginning to end of a file, excluing
blank lines, and can find no documentation for this. Help
would be appreciated.

By menu:
Look at the Statistics tab on the menu item of File/Properties. I think
though that page breaks are counted as a line in that case.

By macro:

(Q211455)

The way to avoid counting blank lines is to avoid using empty paragraphs to
create blank lines; use Spacing Before/After instead, and Word's line count
(Tools | Word Count) will be accurate.
