Having a pagination nightmare. Document skips from page 7
to page 10. Unsure how to determine if there are multiple
sections (and that's why the numbering is off?). Would be
easiest to remove all page numbers, headers/footers, etc
and start fresh. How can I do this in one fell swoop?

It depends somewhat on how the page numbers have been inserted. If they're
straightforward page fields in the header or footer, then View | Header and
Footer, starting on page 1. Delete the page number, then press the Show Next
button and keep deleting any more page numbers you find. In each header,
press the Format Page Number button and make sure the numbering in each
section is set to "Continue from previous section." Sometimes where the
numbering goes off the rails, though, is in a (multi-column) section in the
middle of a page, which has implicit headers and footers that are not
accessible because the material does not span the top or bottom of a page.
The only way to straighten out this mess is usually to remove the section
breaks, fix the numbering, then reinsert the breaks.

If the numbers have been inserted using Insert | Page Numbers, then they're
in a frame, and more care is required in deleting them. See
