I've unchecked something that I need to recheck and don't know what
I'm looking for. If I copy and paste anything into Word, the URLs
turn into {HYPERLINK....."url"} and are not clickable. When I type a
url into a doc, as soon as I hit the space bar the URL turns into
{HYPERLINK..."url"}.

This is driving me nuts. Can anyone tell me where to look?

Oh, yes... as long as I have your attention - can anyone tell me why
the option "embed truetype fonts" doesn't stay checked for me?

TIA

Tools, Options, View tab and deselect the option to view FieldCodes.

FWIW, Alt+F9 is far quicker and does the same thing.

If some of the fonts require a special license then I don't they can
embedded. I believe this to be true with the corresponding option in Adobe
Acrobat too.

Don't worry. I don't use any fonts other free ones found on the net.
I'm having trouble with that danged check box, not font licensing.

No, Alt+F9 to toggle field codes.
