Hi Carolyn
When you scan a document the scanner takes a picture of it. To make it
editable you need to run some OCR (optical character recognition) software
over it. Most scanners come with OCR software included - so have a look
through any disks (CDs) you got with the scanner.
If not you might like to have a look at www.shareware.com or one of the
other shareware / freeware sites on the net for OCR software.
