Hi, Ron,

You mean ¢ ? It's in there! Here are three ways to get it:

- Make sure NumLock is turned on. Hold down the Alt key while you type on
the number pad the four digits 0162. This works in most Windows
applications.

- Press Ctrl and the / (slash) key together; release them and type the
letter c. (This is a default key assignment in Word.)

- Open the Insert/Symbol dialog and set the font to "(normal text)" -- this
means whatever font is set for the cursor position. For most fonts,
including Arial and Times New Roman, the cent sign is in the middle of the
fourth row.

Regards,
Jay

Does anyone know how to get the cent sign? It shows up in the Help file,
but the
help text displayed is about the Euro symbol. But what I want is the symbol
for
cents, as would be used in the sentence - "I paid 50 cents for it.". I've
tried
looking on the symbols page for a few fonts, but didn't find it.

Thank you.
