Opening this document will run the following SQL command:
SELECT * FROM c:\datasource.txt
Data from your database will be placed in the document. Do you want to
continue?
Here's my problem: I want to just edit the template. There is some
information in there that I need to be able to update but I don't want
to actually perform this action and do any merging. If I tell Word
that I don't want to continue I can update the template and save it as
a Word 2003 .dot file, but when I re-open it (or make a new document
based on it) it is no longer asking me where the c:\datasource.txt
file is, which makes me believe that it's no longer associated with
the datasource.
Is there a way I can just open up, edit and save this document
template without having to experience the merge process or be forced
to try to find this text file?
