File name masked when saving

I recently upgraded to MS Word 2004 for Mac and found a real problem
that I can't solve.

When I go to save a document, or save as a document, the space where
the title goes is covered by the toolbars. Dragging the window down
doesn't help, and closing and then reopening the rulers isn't terribly
efficient. I've posted a screen shot of what it looks like at

I can't find anything in the preference that would resolve this.

I'd love to have a solution from others. Thanks in advance.
