Hyperlinks in Word

Hello, I'm a teacher in a small rural school in Montanta.

The computers in question are running Word XP w/SP3, Windows XP Pro- SP2

The kids are learning how to use Word as a web page editor.
To that end, they have a premade web page, on that web page are some text
items that they are supposed to hyperlink to other places in the document.

I have tried reinstalling Word to see if it fixes the problem. I have
installed Word with all possible options.

Here's the issue:
-Not all text can be transformed into a hyperlink
It's odd, as an example, lets say we have 3 words in a vertical column.
2 of the words work just fine in making a hyperlink, but the 3rd one does
not have a hyperlink option. i.e., when you highligh and right click on it,
there is no option for hyperlink.

Out of 15 computers, 3 of them are having this issue.

Any suggestions?
