Hi,
I truly hope somebody can help me out here. I recently started working with
Vista and Office 2007 and so far everything is fine - that is until I wanted
to type a text in Word 2007 in a Persian/Farsi right-to-left script. I have
a long list of
TT fonts, but none of them is shown when I attempt to type! I can type in
English, but not in Farsi/Persian. Persian keyboard is installed. What should
I do?
Your help is deeply appreciated.

Try going in the Start Menu -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Tools
and run Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings
In the left list you will find Persian, add it to the list of enabled
languages. It might help.

I don't know.
This is a post I did in May, and I don't have the full thread.
Since May I don't even remember what that the problem was.

So can you please explain a bit?

Going thru all the messages there, but cannot figure it out.
I suspect it is somethign with your Word configuration.
Tried it here (also Vista + Office 2007, all English, "Persian" keyboard)
and seems ok.

The fact that you have to press space or enter before typing makes me think
about some kind of Word keyborad cutomization.
Do you have to do that before every persian character?
Do the Enter or Space end up as new line or space in the document,
or they get "eaten up"?
If you can type in Wordpad and Notepad, can you copy and paste in Word?
(not that this is a good solution, just trying to understand the behavior)
Do you have a standard keyboard layout that comes with Vista, or some
3rd party one?

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I am as confused as you are,
and I am trying to find something relevant.
