Hi there, I am using Word 2000. I have a long document, I want to be able
to have the Header (our letterhead) on the first page only, and then the
footer (more information) on the very last page. Is this possible? Thanks
in advance for any help.

Header on the first page is easy. On the Layout tab of Page Setup, check the
box for "Different first page," which will give you a separate First Page
Header than you can format as desired.

Footer on the last page requires a conditional field as follows:

{ IF { PAGE } = { NUMPAGES } "Text to go in last-page footer" "Text (if any)
to go in remaining footers" }

Each set of field delimiters (the things that look like braces but can't be
entered from the keyboard) must be inserted using Ctrl+F9, but you can use
the Insert Page Number and Insert Number of Pages buttons on the Header and
Footer toolbar to insert the { PAGE } and { NUMPAGES } fields.
