Hello there,

Im a final year student and i have a 250 page document (my final year
project) to hand in
this coming Wednesday !!! ... unfortunately Word 2000 has gone bananas on me
!

In the footer I ask it to insert page number and it does it but when I do
print preview, instead of displaying the page number it displays "{PAGE}"
and also if I print the document it prints "{PAGE}" instead of the page
number itself...

Does anyone know how to switch this damned feature/bug off ?

ok thing is just b4 sending this doc, ive read other newsgroup postings, and
ive seen that i have to switch field codes off.... its already switched off
???? if i goto print preview and do alt-f9 it reverts back to page x of y
but when i come into print preview it goes back to previous state again
{page} of {numpages}
