Generating list of acronyms in Word

do you want that list to reference every occurence of an acronym in your
text? that would be an index, go look at it in word's online help.

If not, a simple list, well: you need one way to identify the acronyms
in the text. If you can say, well, it's all the words that are in full
caps or so, a decent search and/or a macro might help you. Else I don't
see much choice than going through the whole thing "by hand" and looking
(best approach obviously would be to do that while writing the whole
thing ;-)).

I have a macro that collects and sorts abbreviations in a document,
defined by upper case letters optionally followed by an 's'.

I don't know how you're going to automatically distinguish acronyms
from other abbreviations though (ie those that you can't pronounce
as a word). Why do you only want acronyms?
