Word 2003 - After I have drawn a line and then shorten it the line is never
completely straight. How do I keep this from happening?

Click on the Arrow head in the Drawing toolbar so that you can select the
line and after selecting it, right click and select Format AutoShape from
the shortcut menu that appears and then in the Format AutoShape dialog, go
to the Size tab and adjust the Width of the line.

Although Doug has told you how to size the line through the dialog, if you
want to size it with the mouse, press Shift while dragging to keep the line
straight.
